“Really?” I asked happily, feeling proud of my little boy’s voluntary effort.
“Yes po.” He replied as he continued to search inside the box.

A few minutes later, he rushed to our room and excitedly showed me and his dad the toys he found for his baby sister.

“Mommy, look!” He exclaimed as he handed the toys to me. We told him that we were so thankful and proud of what he did. Not only did he help us save money, he also proved to us that it’s never too early to be generous to others. That at an early age, he knows the value of giving.

If there’s one thing that makes me truly proud of my son, it would be his generous heart. Countless times, he chooses to share whatever he has with others (toys, food, candies, etc.), when it’s much normal to just keep them all to himself. He’s just a kid, people would understand anyway.

With my son’s little act of kindness, once again I was reminded that it is more blessed to give than to receive. And as parents, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing our kids doing the right thing no matter how young they are.

Baby Ayesha loves her hand-me-down toy!

I was in front of my computer when my little boy approached me at exactly 12 midnight and gave me the very first birthday card he wrote by himself. Then he said, “Happy birthday, Mommy! I love you…”

I was so touched when I saw his cute handwriting!

Then I saw this gift lying on the floor when I opened our bedroom door. It was a surprise gift from my sweet husband. A Midi DVD Karaoke Player. Something to keep me busy while I’m on maternity leave. Thanks, sweetie!

I didn’t invite friends to come over to our house anymore para hindi magastos. LOL. Kung ako nga lang ang masusunod, ayokong maghanda coz we already spent a lot of money for my Cesarean operation and Greggy’s 4th birthday last January 16. But my husband insisted on celebrating my birthday. Kaya ayun, we just invited our relatives to have lunch with us. Leo cooked his specialty – Menudo. I cooked Carbonara. Then we sang our hearts out using our new Midi Karaoke DVD Player.

But of course before ending my special day, we headed to church to attend the 7 p.m. service and gave thanks to the Lord for all the wonderful blessings He had given us this 2010.

I just got discharged from the hospital the day before Greggy’s birthday, but that didn’t stop me from throwing a small party for my li’l boy. I love you so much, Greggy!

Sometimes I wanna cry. LOL.

One day, I was able to convince him to practise writing using one of the many workbooks I bought for him. Kaya natuwa naman akong pagmasdan sya. Nauto ko rin sa wakas! Haha!

Look at his cute pictures. He enjoyed tracing the letters! And when he’s done, he told me: “Mommy, sakit ng hands ko…tired na po ako…”

Nakunsyensya naman ako. Hehe.

Nakakatuwang tingnan ang mga bata. They all look sooo adorable and innocent! I think my li’l boy is ready for nursery so I enrolled him at a kiddie center this school year. I am so excited!

Leo and I rushed from work to pick-up Greggy at school. When we arrived, his teacher greeted us and we were told that the class was suspended due to typhoon Emong. She also mentioned that Greggy was the only student who went to school that day despite the heavy rain. We thanked the teacher, then headed home.

As soon as we were at the door, Greggy excitedly greeted and hugged us. Then his face suddenly turned sad, “Wala po akong classmate sa school kanina.”

Seeing how disappointed my son was, I felt sad too. I just kissed and held him in my arms.

Needless to say, my son loves going to school because he gets to study and play with other kids. Rain or shine, he wants to go to school. He would sing, “Rain, rain go away…come again another day. Little Greggy wants to play.” whenever it rains.

He’s the youngest in class (3 years and 3 months old), but he’s the most inquisitive and confident. I only wish he’d learn how to write soon. For now, he just loves drawing and coloring. I’m having a hard time teaching him how to write. Most of the time, he’s not interested.

Greggy’s first snorkeling experience is one of the things that I won’t forget about our recent trip to Bohol. He was a bit hesitant to try it at first. But when his daddy guided him through the shallow water of the Marine Sanctuary, he finally gave in. I was just on the small boat taking pictures and videos of them. These are my favorite photos. How I love watching them! It gave me so much joy seeing them sharing this wonderful moment together.

Belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Greggy! We love you soooo much! You are definitely our pride and joy. Mwah…mwah…

We had a small celebration at home that ended at 1AM. Then we took the 8AM flight to Bohol the next day. So you can just imagine how tired we were when we arrived at Tagbilaran Airport.

Anyway, we just came back from a 6-day vacation in Bohol today. It was A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! I sure have so many things to share and lotsa pictures to post! But I’d rather take a rest first before I write a blow-by-blow account of what happened during our family vacation. We’re all so exhausted. I also need to fix my main blog.

I just missed the cyberworld that’s why I turned on my computer to check my emails. I think I’ll hit the sack early tonight. Gotta go!
